Salpiglossis

‘Royal Mix’ Painted Tongue Upright annual w/heavily veined flowers resembling petunia flowers but more unusually colored, to 24” tall, 12” wide, full sun

Salvia

Perennial Types. This large genus offers many choices for the perennial garden. Hummingbirds love the colorful tubular flowers. These plants are great for borders or containers. Once established most Salvias don’t’ need a lot of water or fertilizer, and are relatively maintenance free. Most need full sun
chiapensis to 3’ tall, from Mexico and flowers continuously in temperate climates. The leaves are smooth and dark green, the flowers pinkish maroon, prune to induce neatness, grows best in light shade. Zones 8-10
greggi  Autumn Sage
Native to Texas and Northern Mexico, this Sage is an, upright, wiry shrub. Stems can be brittle. It is extremely drought tolerant, with a long bloom time.  Once established, do not water on the coast and part shade and a little water inland. Height to 3', 18-24” wide. Zones 9-10

Forms a dense shrub of narrow gray-green "felt" leaves covered with fuzzy lavender purple flowers.  We are also offering a dark purple flowered selection. Height to 4'. Zones 8-10
‘Santa Barbara’  a compact variety of leucantha which grows to only 24” tall, vibrant color and early flowering.

The yellow star shaped flowers are best described as yellow Zinnias with dark purple centers.  Even the leaves look like those of Zinnia, but they really aren't we promise. columbaria Pincushion Flower
Perennial. These ever blooming plants put on a year round show. They have fuzzy, soft green, lobed leaves in a rosette. The tall round flowers stand well above the foliage. Full sun. Height to 18". Zones 4-10

Perennial. This genus is made for rock gardens.The calyces are often the showy part of the plant, not the flower. Keep these plants on the dry side and you won't have any problems. Full sun to part shade.

incana Shrubby perennial to 3’ high, creamy orange mallow like flowers, and gray green leaves. Grow in full sun, not too much water, and lean soil. Zones 5-9

Stachys                       

Lamb's Ear Byzantina syn lanata  What a great plant for a Children's Garden! The large wooly leaves are soft to the touch and durable. Your kids will love it. Early summer brings large spikes of purple flowers on wooly stems. Use this plant as a groundcover extraordinaire. Don't over water. Full sun to part sun.  Height 12-15". Zones 5-10
