Nemesia

fruticans (caerulea)
Perennial.  A fragrant addition to any garden, these plants fill the air with a sweet vanilla scent. The flowers resemble a miniature Snapdragon, on tiny light green leaves.  Usually evergreen, they will make a beautiful pot plant or addition to the front border. Full sun to part sun. Height to 12”. Perennial. The spreading habit of this plant makes it ideal for the middle of any perennial garden.  It has tiny clear blue flowers on erect stems.  Bees and cats love it!  Full sun to part shade.  Height 12-14" Zones 5-9
nervosa ‘Blue Carpet’ Blooms the first year with nice mid blue flowers. Plants grow 14" tall and produce any stems. Masses of violet-blue flowers over an extended time in summer that makes this plants a valuable addition to the sunny border. Were happy - in well-drained open soils - they will self-seed. This selection is short enough to use as an edging too. Zones (4) 5-8

Flowering Tobacco Zones 7-10 ‘Hummingbird Series’dwarf, 10-12” high, you can space them 10” apart in a landscape and they’ll create a solid block of color. Hummingbirds love them as well.

Nierembergia

scoparia Perennial.  A mid-sized selection of Cupflower, this plant makes a nice addition to the perennial border or patio planter.  It has large blue flowers over fine foliage, peaking in the summer months. It is an Athens Select heat tolerant plant.  Full sun.  Height 14-18". Zones 8-10

Nolana

nautical Found in Chile, Peru, and the Galapagos Islands, long tube or bell shaped flowers singly or in clusters develop in the leaf axils near the stem tips and appear throughout the growing season. Nolana prefer humus rich well drained soil in sun or part shade. Pinch to keep bushy. Zones 9-10

Oenothera

speciosa Evening Primrose Perennial. Pink flowers bloom continuously through the summer on this creeping plant. The stems and lance shaped leaves have a red-purple tinge in hot weather. It is a tough, drought tolerant, heat loving plant and will fit in any California garden. Do not over water once established. Full sun to part sun.  Height to 12", trails to 18". Zones 5-10
berlandii  (O. speciosa chidsii) Mexican Primrose Light pink cup shaped flowers top narrow, toothed leaves. The stems have an arching habit. Ht.6-12"

Omhalodes

cappadocica ‘Parisian Skies’ blooms earlier and more profusely than Corydalis. Rich blue flowers literally cover the plant in mid-spring. Spread is 10”, height 5” Zones 6-9

linifolia 'Hails in Spain' Annual. This charming little plant will brighten any shady corner of the garden. After flowering the tiny white petals are sprinkled around the garden, followed by unusual seedpods. Will naturalize in the landscape Part sun/part shade. 6-9". 

Osteospermum           

African Daisy These tough, evergreen plants will thrive in tough, hot, and dry conditions once established. The large leaves have a rough texture, and the daisy flowers are prolific in the spring and summer.  Dimorphotheca is more upright and Osteospermum is more trailing.  However Osteospermum will take on a slightly upright, bushy appearance as it matures. Full sun. Height 12-15" Zones 8-10
