Echinacea

purpurea Purple Coneflower: Perennial.  This prairie native is a favorite of birds and butterflies.  The large cluster of heart shaped leaves is topped by huge cone shaped flowers with purple petals and an orange “cone” center.  This plant will carry the garden through late summer.  Drought tolerant once established.  Full sun. Zones 5-9.
angustifolia the dry root is used for herbal medical purposes to increase white cell count, mauve pink to purple flowers Height 36-48”. 
'Bravado' Extra large 4” rose/purple flowers with a dark center and extra wide petals.
'Bright Star' or 'Leuchstern' Red/purple flowers. 
'Magnus' Similar to 'Bravado' but slightly more purple.
paradoxa to 30” high, bright yellow flowers, very unusual, Zones 7-10
purpurea Large, rosy-lavender, daisy-like flowers with dark, cone-like center, 24-48” tall.
'White Swan' White flowers with green-yellow centers.  Height 24-30"

Erigeron

karvinskianus 'Profusion' Santa Barbara Daisy
Tender Perennial.  This plant has a semi trailing habit, and is topped with pink daisy-like flowers. It will bloom year round on the coast.  Plant this one in your border or rock garden.  Full sun.  Height 10-14”.Zones 6-10 
karvinskianus 'Sea Breeze' Tender Perennial.  This daisy is perfectly suited to costal areas.  It has a semi trailing habit, and is topped w/ white to pink flowers. Blooms year round on the coast.  Plant this one in your border or rock garden. Full sun. Height 10-14”.  Zones 6-10
trifidus  perennial with hairy, basal leaves, solitary ¾” flowers in white, pink, or blue, Zone 6

Erinus

alpinus Alpine Foxglove
Perennial.  This evergreen plant is covered with clusters of small purple flowers. It is great choice for rock gardens or in-between stepping stones.  Full sun to part shade.  Ht.1-3".Zones 6-10.

Erodium x variabile 'Bishop's Form' ‘Crane’s Bill’,
Perennial. This plant will charm its way into your rock garden. The tiny scalloped leaves are covered with dainty, crimson veined, pink flowers. Part shade to part sun.  Height 1-2",

Erysimum              

Wallflower linifolium These plants traditionally have yellow or orange flowers over their silvery foliage. This selection has dark lilac star-shaped flowers. It is quite stunning. It will fill in the middle border. Full sun/part sun.  Height to 30".  Zones 7-10

Eucalyptus Silver Dollar: The Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, used in flower arrangements and planters because of it’s silver foliage and round aromatic leaves, it will grow into a large tree if planted in the ground.

Euphorbia                              

Spurge
This diverse genus also includes Poinsettias!  It is suitable for rock gardens or the perennial border.  These plants will thrive is dry soil.  Full sun, filtered sun in hot areas.
marginata 'Kilimanjaro'  Snow on the Mountain Annual.  Variegated white and green foliage provides an excellent backdrop for the pure white bracts and flowers.  The stems are strong and tall, and are excellent for cut flowers 30” to 40”            
polychroma                  Cushion Spurge Perennial.  This is a wonderful plant for form and texture in the garden.  It has soft green ovate leaves and is covered with clusters of yellow bracts. The true flower is also yellow.  Height 18". Zones 4-8.
‘Despina’ a very dwarf evergreen euphorbia with non-drooping leaves that turn purple in wall and winter. Shocking sulphur yellow blooms in early spring. Zones 6-9
‘Dolce Vita’ Bushy herbs with a dome like habit, freely branched from the base. Shiny gray-green foliage becoming reddish in autumn, flowers are yellowish green. Excellent for borders, containers, and in hanging baskets as a filler. 12”.
myrsinites Myrtle Spurge blue-gray leaves, succulent, bright greenish-yellow flowers  6” tall, 1’ wide  Zones 5-10

Euryops


Perennial.  These tough shrubs are well adapted to handle the hot and dry California summers.  Don't over water once established.  Full sun.

‘sonenschein’ an improved version of ‘Viridis’, more compact, bright yellow flowers, green-leaves

Evolvulus

'Hawaiian Blue Eyes'
Tender Perennial.  Clear blue flowers with tiny white eyes grace this little bloomer all summer. The narrow, lance shaped leaves have a silver tone, and set off the flowers.  It's a great choice for a patio planter.  Full sun to part sun. Height to 3".  Zone 10

Felicia

amelloides
Perennial.  Need a rough texture in the garden?  Plant this little daisy in the front border to provide some foliage interest.  The dark green leaves and daisy flowers appear "brittle".  They complement softer perennials perfectly.  The variegated selections have green and white leaves.  Full sun. Height 10-12".

Fuchsia

Annual. You can't beat these flowers for a shady spot!  All of our Fuchsia selections are upright unless otherwise noted. Plant in light-shade with no direct sunlight. Keep from severe cold.
